GN Solids Control Back from CIPPE Shanghai

In the recent World Oil Show CIPPE held in Shanghai International Exhibition Center, GN Solids America showed its central product high configuration decanter centrifuge, and that was a success for GN Solids America, because during the show, GN’s booth attracted many attentions.

Many customers visited GN booth and talked with sales engineers there, some are old customers and some are new customers, some from China domestic and some from abroad. Most of them have known GN for a well, and they came to see GN’s new design in its well known Solids Control and Waste Management equipments.

What’s new for this year?

  1. GN 2nd Generation Decanter Centrifuge finished from production line. Comparing with last generation, these centrifuges are more user-friendly. By changing the location of motors, there leaves more space for operator to maintenance the equipment. Enlarged solids discharge port facilities the better discharge of solids and newly designed adjustable liquid discharge port f or easier changing drying requirement.
  2. GN 3RD Generation vertical cutting dryer, equipped with air knife and flushing system. GN is first China manufacturer who designed vertical cutting dryer. After times of factory test and jobsite test, GN’s vertical cutting dryer is much more mature and proved to be efficient in both WBM and OBM.
  3. GN’S new patent for sealing of GN series shale shaker screen and mud cleaners. Unitl now, GN has got more than 10 patents and another 5 pending.

Oilfield Drilling Rig Composition and Mechanical Transmission System

Drilling mud solids control system to some extent could be seen as part of the complete drilling rig system. Comparing with the main body of drilling rig, the shale shaker has a more frequent maintenance and replacement. Now let talk some on the composition of drilling rig.

 

According to the requirement of drilling, wash well and unloading the drilling tools in the drilling process, one set of drilling rig must be equipped with the following systems and devices.

  1. Power equipment: diesel engine or AC, DC power source.
  2. Driving system: including reduction, parallel operation, reverse and speed changing etc. On the basis of mechanical transmission, still need hydraulic transmission, pneumatic and electromagnetic clutch, etc.
  3. Hoisting system: winch, auxiliary winch, auxiliary brake; hoisting system (traveling block, hook, crane, derrick, etc.); Ascension tools (rings, elevator, slip, tong, etc.)
  4. Rotation system: the turntable, the faucet; the drill string, drill bit and downhole drilling tools
  5. Circulatory system: drilling pump, the ground manifold, mud pools, mud cleaning equipment and mud mixing equipment.
  6. Control system: mechanical, hydraulic or electric control device, control operation station, observation data recorder, etc
  7. Base includes rig base, computer room base, mud desilter, etc
  8. Auxiliary equipment: air compression equipment, rat hole drilling equipment, wellhead blowout equipment, auxiliary power generation equipment, auxiliary lifting equipment, mobile home, insulation equipment, etc.

A complete drilling system is divided into five areas: Drill floor area, computer room and power area, mud pump area, oil tank area, mud recycling and water tank area.

Parallel Operation: two more driving units should be work together. Such as tape drive, diesel engine – hydraulic drive, the chain and parallel transmission and so on.

Astern: rotary table, astern trunk and the clutch.

Transformation direction: short cardan shaft, Angle gearbox, climbing chain, etc
